The draft schedule for Ticket to Thrive can be found here. We'll spend time during Wednesday's Faculty Meeting preparing for the event. Here are some tasks to keep on the radar this week: 

• Schedule: Please plan to be here from 8:30am-2:00pm. 
• Child Care: If you haven't already, please reach out to Alicia if you require child care during the event. 
• Information Tables: While prospective students are taking the Math Inventory, Parents will be able to intersect with Faculty to learn more about different subject areas and co-curricular options. Please think about what samples might be conversation-starters to include on tables - books, binders, student work, video- or audio-clips of events, etc. This does not have to be exhaustive - just enough to highlight the program. I ask the following people to coordinate tables, but everyone will be on hand during that part of the event.

Upcoming Religious & Cultural Observances

• February is Heart Disease Awareness Month, National Cancer Prevention Month, and African American History Month.
• Saturday, February 11 is Tu b'Shevat (too buh-SHEH-vut), a minor Jewish holiday which marks the new agricultural and business year for Jewish communities. 
• Sunday, February 12 is the birthday of Abraham Lincoln, US President from 1861-1865. His birthday is officially recognized with George Washington's birthday as part of the national Presidents' Day observance.
